The Spirit of Excellence award is given to Hormel suppliers who exceed in areas such as customer service, delivery performance, product quality, and overall account administration. The award was given for service provided in 2013, and was presented during a ceremony at Smyth's Minneapolis facility on May 19. Both Smyth employees and representatives from Hormel Foods were in attendance. This is the seventeenth time Smyth has been awarded the Spirit of Excellence, and the twelfth consecutive year.
